Delivery & Shipping
We aim to process and dispatch orders within 24 hours whenever possible. However, please allow 3-15 business days for delivery, depending on the delivery postcode. Delivery times are based on when your order leaves our warehouse in Noosaville, Queensland. Delivery times may vary during peak times. Express delivery and package insurance is available. Please check the appropriate tick boxes at checkout.
Stock availability, particularly for large furniture items, may impact the dispatch time of your order. If items are awaiting arrival from overseas manufacturers, delivery may take up to 6–8 weeks, or in some cases, longer. If this occurs, we will promptly notify you via email.
Shipping & Packaging
Whenever possible, we will combine items from your order into a single shipment. However, due to variations in size, weight, or availability, some items may need to be shipped separately and charged accordingly.
Backordered items will be dispatched as they become available, and their shipping charges will be added to the invoice at the time of dispatch. You will receive an email notification with a link to complete the payment using your preferred method. To avoid delays, if we do not receive a response within 24hrs, the shipping charge for backordered items will be added to your original invoice and charged to the payment method provided. If this is unsuitable, please contact us in advance to arrange an alternative payment option.
We work with trusted courier partners offering competitive rates, ensuring most major city deliveries are completed within 24-36hours.
Shipping charges are determined based on the weight, size, and destination postcode of your order and are included in your final invoice at the time of dispatch. We offer a standard delivery fee based on your order total, as outlined in the table below. For deliveries to remote or rural areas, as well as oversized packages or pallet orders, additional charges may apply based on the courier service or Australia Post rates. If extra shipping costs are required for your address, we will notify you via email with the additional charges before processing your order.
Unlike many online retailers, our products do not include built-in shipping costs — you pay only for the actual packaging & courier handling fee.

Express Shipping
Express Shipping is available and can be requested at checkout. Additional charges will apply.
While we make every effort to prioritize Express shipping requests above all other orders, delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as issues with the shipping company or Australia Post being unable to meet their obligations in full. In such cases, we cannot accept responsibility for these delays, and charges for Express shipping may still apply.
Insurance
Insurance is available and can be requested at checkout. Additional charges will apply.
Shipping insurance is available to protect the value of your order once it leaves our warehouse. After dispatch, responsibility for the package transfers to the customer. Insurance can be requested at the time of ordering and covers the cost of the item only, excluding GST and courier charges. This ensures peace of mind in the unlikely event of loss or damage during transit. Insurance is calculated at the rate of 2.5% of the value of the order, with a minimum charge of $6.95.
Signature Required
Signature Required is available and can be requested at checkout. Additional charges will apply.
Deliveries are marked with “AUTHORITY TO LEAVE IN A SAFE LOCATION” if no one is available to sign for the consignment. If this is unsuitable, customers can request a “Signature Required” service for their deliveries at an additional cost of $5.95. This ensures that your package is handed directly to the recipient or an authorised person, providing extra peace of mind.
Please note that all options must be selected at the time of placing your order.
Delivery Conditions
Inspect on Delivery:
Do not accept deliveries if the outer package appears damaged or tampered with. Notify the courier, take photos, and inspect the goods immediately.
Once a consignment is marked as “DELIVERED” by the courier, it is considered successfully completed. A2Z Montessori Australia cannot accept responsibility for missing or damaged items after this point.

Returns & Refunds
Return Eligibility
At A2Z Montessori Australia, we are dedicated to providing you with the highest level of customer service and top-quality merchandise. However, if you are dissatisfied with your purchase, we are happy to assist within the following guidelines:
Return Eligibility
- Returns must be requested within 14 days of receiving your item.
- Items must be in their original condition: unused, with tags, and in their original packaging.
- A receipt or proof of purchase is required.
- A 20% restocking fee will apply to returns for change of mind or incorrect orders.
- Final acceptance of returns is at A2Z Montessori’s discretion.
- All other outstanding payments on account are settled.
- Returns without prior authorisation will not be accepted.

- If approved, you will receive instructions for the next steps. The return postage cost will be deducted from your refund if we issue a return label to you.

Exchange, Credit, or Refund
- Eligible returns can be exchanged or credited to your account. Alternatively, we can offer a refund to your bank account or credit card.
- Shipping charges to and from the delivery address are non-refundable.
Refund Processing
- Once we’ve received and inspected your return, we’ll notify you of the refund approval status within 10 business days.
- If exchanging the product or getting a credit note, this will be processed immediately and you will be notified.
- If getting a refund, it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

Damaged or Incomplete Items
If your item arrives damaged or incomplete, please notify us immediately via info@ a2zmontessori.com.au, quoting:

- Reason for Return

Non-Returnable Items

Sale, Clearance, and Factory Second Items
From time to time, we may offer Sale, Clearance, and Factory Second items from our product range at special discounted prices. These items are typically identical in functionality to our standard stock and are discounted due to reasons such as manufacturer promotions, clearance sales, or excess inventory.

- Some discounted or factory second items may feature damaged packaging, minor markings, or slight imperfections.

The Organic Nature of Wood
Unlike manufactured materials, wood is a product of nature. Wood products have natural imperfections which make them unique and beautiful. Because wood is in a constant state of expansion and contraction, some hairline cracks may appear in the finish surface.
Some parts of the wood are softer in composition than other areas and may absorb the stain more and appear darker. When cabinets are stained, many of the wood’s characteristics show through including: the grain, pin holes, knots and mineral streaks. How wood looks and feels is affected by climate, soil nutrients, growing season, season of harvest, and the age at harvest.
Wood contains natural imperfections, which add to its character and appeal. Every piece of wood—even from the same tree—is slightly different in colour, texture, and grain.
The organic nature of wood is what gives the wood its character. It’s also important to note that age changes wood as well. Some wood will continue to darken over time. This makes it pretty much impossible to match existing items or replacement parts. Even if they have the same stain, they won’t look the same.
It’s all about expectations. If you are expecting a perfectly smooth surface with no blemishes, you will not find it in wood products unless it is heavily painted. If you appreciate the natural beauty of stained wood, you will appreciate that each piece is as individual as a fingerprint and will take the stain slightly different, even two boards from the same tree. This is inherent to wood and is not a defect unless it interferes with the functionality of what is the intended use of the item.
