Overview
Montessori Spelling Mat with Carpet/Vinyl grip – for small Mov Alphabet is a core Montessori Language material designed to introduce children to spoken and written language in a concrete, multisensory way. This cloth spelling mat helps children practice writing on lined paper using Montessori Moveable Alphabet sets. This activity helps the child to prepare to write on lined paper. The cloth 100% Cotton Spelling Mat is backed with Carpet/Vinyl grip and is designed to be used on the floor with the Small Montessori Moveable and Connectable Alphabet sets.
The mat provides space for three lines of text and gives the guidelines for the upper and lower limit of letters in red and centre of letters in blue. The young child uses this material to place the small moveable letters in the correct space as they construct word(s) and sentences.
