Montessori Sandpaper Numbers (small) with Box is a core Montessori Mathematics material designed to provide concrete understanding of abstract concepts. Sandpaper numbers are a tactile activity to teach children proper writing form and movement. They come in a quality timber box. The Sandpaper Numbers material provides an activity to prepare the child for writing.This is a tactile activity, the child guides their hand to trace their fingers along the sandpaper surface that shapes each numeral in the precise style and direction that each would be written. Learning to write includes two different kinds of movement. Initially the child will learn to reproduce the form and then learn to handle the instrument of writing. This set of Sandpaper numbers 0-9 are printed to the right of each card to allow the child to hold down the card while tracing it with their other hand. IT is produced on a green timber product cards and comes in a quality crafted timber box that provides an attractive display and easy access for the child.
