Overview

This maths activity encourages exploration and supports numeracy through hands-on play. Sturdy timber puzzle teaching fractions through different stack sizes, color-coded and engaging for children to explore fraction relationships. This timber puzzle is sturdy and constructed of quality timber. The Fraction Stacks puzzle is designed to help the the child learn about and understand proportions of a whole. The puzzle is divided into 8 equal height vertical stacks with each stack being formed from a a different amount of parts to demonstrate 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/6, 1/8, 1/10 and 1/12. Each stack is colour coded in relation to the fraction being demonstrated. As the child becomes engaged with the material they can explore the relationship between the fractions.
